Paul Laurence Dunbar (1872-1906) We Wear the Mask WE wear the mask that grins and lies, It hides our cheeks and shades our eyes,— This debt we pay to human guile; With torn and bleeding hearts we smile, And mouth with myriad subtleties. Why should the world be over-wise, In counting all our tears and sighs? Nay, let them only see us, while We wear the mask. We smile, but, O great Christ, our cries To thee from tortured souls arise. We sing, but oh the clay is vile Beneath our feet, and long the mile; But let the world dream otherwise, We wear the mask!
“And if she runs away she fears she won't be followed
What could be the worse than leaving something behind
And as the depth of oceans slowly become shallow
It's loneliness she finds...
If only he was mine” - Vanessa Carlton (Rinse)
And as the silence settles in Searching for what might have become of him Telling me the meanings behind this logic truth Holding onto inscriptions of memories as proof Silence is his melody
These whispers of silence bestows inside It’s hidden behind his lips but he won’t testify Not even for Love he’d ratify What is it within him that he must hide? Silence is his melody
Although my heart can’t take another beat And I lay these calculations at his feet It’s never enough for his reply I could lay here and slowly die Yet silence would be his melody
Life is too short and still I wait Can’t live in past times nor ancient mistakes Yet still I write and cling to fate Silence is his melody
Some may say its ignorance And to seek for better within the depths of the seas But I refuse and reside in my subtitles
Gradually losing hope in this realm of love mentally Listening to the silence of his melody
.....I enjoy this particular space in my mind. ♥ :)
Another rainy day. I always find these moments to leave out memories I've tried not to display, however there aren't any more words I can use to say within how much love still remains. ♥
As I am typing I hear a light knock at my window, I glance to see who or what the noise may be…the soft knocks of rain.
Something is different about the rain today. As the morning began the sky light up in this unique shade of pink and through the trees and over the peak refracting off of each building on campus was the sun. It was like the weather had manipulated my emotions, all was subtle inside.
By noon the sun had faded away and the wind was blowing rapidly. I embraced it as it blew through my hair, and played with the end of my skirt. I was enjoying this mysterious breeze; however, my walk came to an end as I approached the doors to the building.
By evening the clouds began to settle, and as I took a deep breath I could smell the likeliness of showers. It was still warm outside and the weather, at least to me, was still relaxing.
It’s 4:42pm and the rain is tapping at my window. As I sat and listened to its beating I began to reminiscence on my week. As I reflected I realized how similar to the weather my week had been. I was subtle at the beginning of the week, however by the middle of the week things began to get cloudy, and now rain is falling rapidly, but I find comfort within the rain.
The rain is a symbolization of God. He is lightly tapping at my window; through this he has gained my undivided attention. In this rain I find my comfort, in this rain I find my peace, in this rain I am able to whisper to my sovereign, and I am able to take heed to the words that he speaks. In this rain is where I’ve laid my burdens, and fill my heart with things so meek. In this rain I wash away the flesh, I lay them at his feet.
I’m feeling so new inside, God has lifted a major strain that has been hiding inside of me, weighing so heavy on my mind. Everything that I’ve been seeking has revealed itself, and I no longer have to find. I’ve made so many sacrifices, putting aside time, family, finances, and even getting myself into danger, and yet it was perceived as if I was working for the blind; but God has plucked them out and replaced them with the light in which he shines.
As the rain falls I can only smile, words can’t explain his mysterious miracles, hand in hand I’ll abode within him, he is my lover, my best friend, my guardian angel.
God continue to grant in me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference. ♥ Neph
“…and though I may have lost my way all paths lead straight to you I long to be like you, lie cold in the ground like you There’s room inside for two and I’m not grieving for you I’m coming for you…” - Like You [Evanescence]
I try to run from these silent dreams but they slowly grow inside, leading me to insignificant paths, these paths of suicide Is there no other way to reach you, to behold your supernatural grasp? Do I have to close these open doors tonight, and mark today as my last?
Making my bed inside a tomb, never to open my eyes to the world Sealing the sacks in this cocoon; cursing the realms of my mother’s womb I’m drawing closer to you
Here we will lie humming this “suxicide lullabye” Feeling the impulse of death coursing through our veins Becoming one within our thoughts Becoming one within our pains
These tears will dry for I will not cry when I finally see your face For the world is drowning and I am surrounding myself with your divine grace
Soaring back through these open doors I find myself awaken once again Although I thank you for the breath of life given each passing day My soul somehow hopes that someday it’ll end
I can't change who I am not this time I won't lie to keep you near me and in this short life, there's no time to waste on giving up my love wasn't enough"

It always seems like when the leaves slowly falls in autumn it’s just a casual reminder of how much I’ve been forgotten. Although seasons may come and go they tend to linger within our minds, and within our skin; wrapping the beauty of its nature around us. Our body unknowingly speaks back to each season. We allow Summer to comfort us, to keep us warm in her tender arms. We allow Spring to cry on our shoulders, washing away her impurities but embracing us with an inner peace. We allow Autumn to grace us with her presence. She uncoils around us and we take in her beauty. Then there’s Winter; her snow white glow, so elegant. She runs her fingers through our hair allowing the threads to dance with the breezes she provides. Seasons always leaves an everlasting presence before they depart. We tend to cling onto a particular season. Clinging onto its memories; missing it, longing it, and waiting for it to come again. Sometimes I wish I could be remembered as a season. I wish that I had the comfort of Summer, the inner peace through sorrows of Spring, the beauty of Autumn, and the elegance of Winter. Although there are times when I might disappear, I still wish that I would be remembered, I wish that I would be longed for, I wish that someone would patiently wait for me to come back around again. There’s that part of me depending on hope and relying on my faith to take me through the course of unveiling Love trying to uncover her layers. Maybe Love is just like happiness, maybe it’ll come home when it’s good and ready too. I’m not searching for Love; I’m finding the meaning within it. I want to know if Love has passed me by I want to know how far along the road love is I want to know what Love truly feels like, but not as a half…. As a whole.
“What I fear and what I've tried, Words I say and what I hide All the pain, I want it to end But I want it again
And it finds me The fight inside is coursing through my veins And it's raging The fight inside is breaking me again” -Red
You can find me here waiting; my corpse rots my soul fading Left with nothing but to uncover the risks I’ve taken, guess my heart was just mistaken As time is raped from its minutes watching this lifeless body on the floor For so long it has been hidden behind the bolts of this stoned door Locked behind dreams of eternity, reassuring the lies beneath lustful fantasies Hoping memories resides in its stained glass, only if I could let go of what I had in the past Yet through my pain and through my tears, through the wasteland of my despairs I long for the pain, the scars across my heart, I long for the reason it’s left broken, and falling apart With arms outstretched, and fingers pointing towards the stars, my wondering soul continues the journey for the antidote in a realm beneath the blackened tar You can find me here waiting; my corpse rots my soul fading My body shaking from the constant whispers of the demise trying to uncover the hymnals of the skies As time is raped from its minutes my body rests upon the floor Hiding behind the bolts and chains bestowed upon stoned doors Into a realm of fantasies where deceitful lies becomes truth, I give into the lust of memories depriving my heart from all its youth Stretching these memories that resides in its stained glass, imprinting the parts of you that I want a could have had And through my pain and through my tears, through the wasteland of my despairs My soul seeks out to meet you here, my corpse still grieving for your care Longing for the pain, the scars across my heart, I long for the reason it’s left broken, and falling apart Only your love, through the blood that flows through your veins can mend me back together, lying in your arms would make dying so much better And through death you’ll compensate the keys to unlock where this story ends Cause my words may mean nothing but deep inside you is where I hide everything
We build then we break as apathy as our mistake Watching as leaves pile, building upon trials I wash them all away with my subtle tears Hoping I can wash away the tribulations in these past years
I stare at this beauty, the nature of God’s creation From the highest peak that touches the sky to the wide and sturdy foundation Wishing for it to embedded in me, wrap me in its vines and listen to my most desperate cries Stay with me in the fall, uncovering the techno gleaming of my eyes Allow me to blend into the elaborate structure of its stems Hoping that if I hold onto this feeling it can carry me until the end
From the branches and the vine, up unto the stars; to the holy divine I lust for a feeling, perhaps, rather a spiritual meaning That pushes me to follow the constant drumming of my heart beating Finding a solution other than what the world might protest Leaving such a beauty, No! my heart contests Forbid the world to eat at the carcass, the remaining of your flesh
“May we all turn into the leaves that crack and break apart, And I’m anxious to relieve my mind from desperate thoughts. I hope you’ll remember me always…”
There isn’t another line, not a letter, or a poem The footprints along these boundaries are the ones that lead me home Back into the tar pit womb inside the scars of constant wounds Though far beyond the surface of skin I draw no blood but the tears built up inside of me over flood Drowning my organs, drowning my heart, washing away the redbrick color; this is how I fall apart
There isn’t another line, not a letter, or a poem The footprints along these boundaries are the ones that lead me home The writings on the walls reflect a reflection so vivid, as others may portray it as a beauteous image Look deep within what may seem like a meaning and read its book unraveling the truth behind this hook Leaving the foundation weak, as in the foundations of my heart; this is how, this is how, and this is how I fall apart
There isn’t another line, not a letter, or a poem This is a documentation that I’ll deposited on the day that I’m finally home Back into the tar pit wombs lays my life formed so meek; inside me is a hidden quote that this document may seek “For once don’t be so weak, I see the mistake that is you, don’t try another line, I know the truth” You never really loved me and here lies the proof
Leaving me behind with a fragile and broken heart, this is how, this is how, and this is how you left me to fall apart
Tonight my head is spinning I need something to pick me up I've tried but nothing is working I won't stop, I won't say I've had enough
Tonight I start the fire Tonight I break away
Break! Away from everybody Break! Away from everything If you can't stand the way this place is Take! Yourself! To higher places!
At night I feel like a vampire It's not right but I just can't give it up I'll try to get myself higher Let's go! We're gonna light it up
Tonight we start the fire Tonight we break away
Break! Away from everybody Break! Away from everything If you can't stand the way this place is Take! Yourself! To higher places!
If you can't stand the way this place is Take! Yourself! To higher places! Break! Away from everybody Break! Away from everything If you can't stand the way this place is Take! Yourself! To higher places! Higher places! To higher places! Higher places! Take yourself to higher places!
Reveal my bare skin to the world. Let them see my true reflection. So they can uncover this torture, this pain, this feeling that I’ve been neglecting. I rest my hands only for a little while, just to let the tension inside build, and now my mind is bursting like a chaotic oil spill. Not only because of you, my love, my glass shaped heart has hit the ground. On concrete pavement it lies there shattered as everyone stands around. Don’t touch her!! Don’t try to fix her!! Leave her shattered on the floor. Walk past her, snare at her, watch as she rots upon the floor. Let her rest, and close her eyes, here lies the broken heart of the corpse bride. Drain her blood, for what’s its worth. She puts upon you a silent curse. Inform a lawyer; an angelic nurse? Bury her deep within the ground, with a thorn made crown So let me ask you my love, are you happy now? Does a supercilious smile spread across your face for it’s her body that you’ve found? Reveal my bare skin to the world. Let them see my true reflection. Imprinted on her grave stone, carved with the hands of deception Humanity! Oh Sovereignty! Bless this broken child The monstrosities of nature spread your wings and make her fly; the words of the wicked flesh will have to cry Take her soul up unto the stars, where she’ll rest within her maker She’ll open her eyes, her soul replies, “curse them, my creator” Reveal my bare skin to the world. Let them see my true reflection. This world filled with remedies of cynical “misconceptions”

Clementine: This is it, Joel. It's going to be gone soon. Joel: I know. Clementine: What do we do? Joel: Enjoy it.
Joel: [in the house on the beach] I really should go! I've gotta catch my ride. Clementine: So go. Joel: I did. I thought maybe you were a nut... but you were exciting. Clementine: I wish you had stayed. Joel: I wish I had stayed to. NOW I wish I had stayed. I wish I had done a lot of things. I wish I had... I wish I had stayed. I do. Clementine: Well I came back downstairs and you were gone! Joel: I walked out, I walked out the door! Clementine: Why? Joel: I don't know. I felt like I was a scared little kid, I was like... it was above my head, I don't know. Clementine: You were scared? Joel: Yeah. I thought you knew that about me. I ran back to the bonfire, trying to outrun my humiliation. Clementine: Was it something I said? Joel: Yeah, you said "so go." With such disdain, you know? Clementine: Oh, I'm sorry. Joel: It's okay. [Walking Out] Clementine: Joely? What if you stayed this time? Joel: I walked out the door. There's no memory left. Clementine: Come back and make up a good-bye at least. Let's pretend we had one. [Joel comes back] Clementine: Bye Joel. Joel: I love you... Clementine: Meet me... in Montauk...
Joel: Hi. Clementine: Hi. Didn't figure you'd show your face around me again. I guess I thought you were... humiliated. You did run away, after all. Joel: I just needed to see you. Clementine: Yeah? Joel: I'd like to, um... take you out, or something. Clementine: You're married. Joel: Not yet, not married. No, I'm not married. Clementine: Look man, I'm telling you right off the bat, I'm high-maintainance, so... I'm not gonna tip-toe around your marriage, or whatever it is you've got goin' there. If you wanna be with me, you're with me. Joel: Okay. Clementine: Too many guys think I'm a concept, or I complete them, or I'm gonna make them alive. But I'm just a ****-up girl who's lookin' for my own peace of mind; don't assign me yours. Joel: I remember that speech really well. Clementine: I had you pegged, didn't I? Joel: You had the whole human race pegged. Clementine: Hmm. Probably. Joel: I still thought you were gonna save my life... even after that. Clementine: Ohhh... I know. Joel: It would be different, if we could just give it another go-round. Clementine: Remember me. Try your best; maybe we can.
Clementine: You're not a stalker, or anything, right? Joel: I'm not a stalker. YOU'RE the one that talked to me, remember? Clementine: That is the oldest trick in the stalker book. Joel: Really? There's a stalker book? Great, I gotta read that one.
Clementine: Joely? Joel: Yeah Tangerine? Clementine: Am I ugly? Joel: Uh-uh. Clementine: When I was a kid, I thought I was. I can't believe I'm crying already. Sometimes I think people don't understand how lonely it is to be a kid, like you don't matter. So, I'm eight, and I have these toys, these dolls. My favorite is this ugly girl doll who I call Clementine, and I keep yelling at her, "You can't be ugly! Be pretty!" It's weird, like if I can transform her, I would magically change, too. Joel: [kisses Clementine] You're pretty. Clementine: Joely, don't ever leave me.
Joel: I don't see anything I don't like about you. Clementine: But you will! But you will, and I'll get bored with you and feel trapped, because that's what happens with me. Joel: Okay.

There are days when the darkness takes over my thoughts Days where I can't find myself; my mind seems lost Days when the world's threats cuts at my veins And lead me to times of regrets, misery, and shame
But I find myself abiding in him, my heart beats to his commands Insecurities are set aside and I grasp onto his hands
There are days when these tears flood my eyes and my pupils dilate and drown in my sorrows but he takes me in, and stretch forth his hands he holds me until a new morrow
I find myself abiding in him, my heart beats to his commands Insecurities are set aside and I grasp onto his hands
The world may put me down, but I replenish myself from his love My flesh feels dirty and drenched in sin, he makes my heart pure like a dove He reveals the beauty of me, only he can see the pain He can hear my silent prayers, and when I call upon his name
Jesus is my refuge, he is the stronghold in my heart Jesus guides each steady footstep, and sets the pace to my walks Jesus fills the cup I drink from in his spirituality Jesus is my only savior, he helps me back onto my feet
I find myself abiding in him, my heart beats to his commands Insecurities are set aside as I grasp onto his hands
"My time has come, I'm slowly fading I deserve what I receive Jesus when You are in Your kingdom Could You please remember me" *Third Day*
These bruises are from the stones they throw because of your love, I couldn't let go I refuse to shout, I didn't give in I refuse to walk their paths of sin
Will you remember me, when my life comes to an end? Will you receive my soul in the paradise inn?
They slap me with vulgarity I turn my cheek the other way My mouth glued shut, I eat my words With no response I walk away
Will you remember me, when my life comes to an end? Will you receive my soul in the paradise inn?
There are footsteps imprinted on my forehead and scars engraved on my back It's the mark of the normal things they despise me cause what I lack
They beat me in my chest, and punctured my heart deep hanged my body out to die; they bound my hands and feet
Will you remember me, when my life comes to an end? Will you receive my soul in the paradise inn?
I'm crucified with you, with every word I speak Crucified with you, because of my belief I'm crucified with you, for it's you I beseech when I'm dying in the emergency room They're hoping to see me in my tomb
Will you remember me, when my life comes to an end? Will you receive my soul in the paradise inn?
Burying me deep, they seek to bury my flesh underneath their prison But will you remember me? will you induct me into heaven?
"Dragonfly out in the sun you know what I mean, don't you know Butterflies all havin fun you know what I mean Sleep in peace when the day is done, that's what I mean And this old world is a new world And a bold world For Me"
I ADOOORE Church! Yes, I'm a dork! A dork for Jesus! Being there just sets me free. I feel peace within myself. I feel confident, grace, I feel like I can literally move mountains (lol). I love learning about God, and when I take events from the bible and place it in my life I find more understanding. I unfold knowledge. I couldn't be anymore thankful. I just have to continue to preservere. I wish I could tell someone about it, anyone about it....well anyone who would believe me, or join me in this great feeling. God has always be gracious to me, sometimes I feel that he punishes me, or throws inconvient troubles in my life that jjust makes me want to scream WHHY ME?!?! but I know it's all for a purpose. What the purpose might be...Idk but I'm always going to try my best to praise him through my storms. It does hurt, sometimes everyone else in the world seems to be running at a much faster pace but I believe I will make it to the end of the road. It might not be the exact time I want to reach there, it's all in God's timing. Theres so many bridges I have crossed over. Some with gaps so huge and sharks underneath waiting to devour you. Sometimes I might want to turn around and run back to the safe side and burn the bridge, forget about everything and just "live." But something supernatural keeps pulling me to the end. It holds my hand for awhile, just to make me secure in the thought that someone is here with me. Finally when I grasp onto the faith they let go for awhile, and let me approach hazardous things on my own. The majority of the time I believe I fail, and others sit back and laugh and indulge in my failure, but that just keeps me holding onto what I've grown to know. Who I've grown to love. Whom my heart has learned to accept. My belief. My belief in God. I mean...even if he doesnt exist, or I end up making my bed in hell, it'll be well within my mind. I prefer to make sacrifices that he made for us, then just to be selfish, or prideful within myself. I know I am nothing...and the world makes me out to be nothing, to feel nothing. But this unknown power sheltures me and nutures me, and makes me feel new. Within him I am something. He accepts me as I am, he accepts me as his child. I'll always believe in him for that.

I can't sleep again. I have too much pressure on my heart and too much hidden words transcribed in my head. It's not just a broken heart anymore, it's something much more. My mouth wants to utter upon this pain but my tongue encloses it, holding it ransom. Maybe I've lost my trust, or maybe I'm just tired. I reach out to God. Maybe these are suppose to be the struggle I'm suppose to endure, and rise above...but when will struggle be over?? I feel like I could be devoured in this atmosphere. I find myself wearing a smile, and laughing off the hurt. Pushing myself into a trance, I distance myself from the world, my family, and even my friends constantly looking for other things to do, work that has to be done, music to compose, books to write...not even realizing how much more hours I've try to extend in a day just to runaway by picking up these redundent tasks. When the day is done, I fall into restlessness, and usually find tears rolling down my cheeks and onto my pillow case; drowning myself with the sorrow I hold inside. Usually as an antidote I reach out to my emotions through the lyrical genius of my favorite musicians. As I struggled to find a cure I ran through the lyrics from blue october's current cd approaching normal; I laugh at the title, it's like an oxymoron. I promised myself that I won't fall too deeply into pain because I can do some really deep self torturing. I'm beyond that stage in my life, so here is the cure. Someone that understands what I'm feeling and not afraid to acknowledge it. Or too high to lower themselves to someones hurt. These are the lyrics that match the pressure of what I'm feeling inside....I'm a little eased since I've found it..I can smile a little now :]
Song Title:{Picking Up Pieces}
I really need to talk with you I keep stepping on the vein That keeps my lifeline flowing thru I wanna be your perfect stick of glue But I don’t feel perfect at all Sad and insecure flaw I find it hard to hold conversations I get sweaty sick and I wanna walk away Its not you its strictly me in this situation But, I’m wondering will it ever go away…just go away, still... Sometimes I feel like weeping awake and when I’m sleeping perfecting how to put a game face on This puzzle I’ve been keeping has been in hiding creeping out the closet door spilling out onto the floor How long will I be picking up pieces? How long will I be picking up my heart? Listen, I’ll be as honest as I feel I feel like I’m getting more paranoid and I’m hearing things And they never turn out real It feels like my heart is made of pure steel It’s just so heavy all the time I’m scared of death And I’m scared of living I gave up on the past cause it’s unforgiving I misplaced my trust I watched my word begin to rust I’m a balloon about to bust I need a place for reliving. Still... Sometimes I feel like weeping awake and when I’m sleeping perfecting how to put a game face on this puzzle I’ve been keeping has been in hiding creeping out the closet door spilling out onto the floor How long will I be picking up pieces? How long will I be picking up my heart? How long (in another space and time) Keep picking up pieces in the corner of my mind How long (its getting oh so hard to find) Keep picking up pieces in the corner of my mind But I still walk on

Good Enough Lyrics!
Under your spell again I can't say no to you crave my heart and its bleeding in your hand I can't say no to you
Shouldn't let you torture me so sweetly now I can't let go of this dream I can't breathe but I feel
Good enough I feel good enough for you
Drink up sweet decadence I can't say no to you and I've completely lost myself and I don't mind I can't say no to you
Shouldn't let you conquer me completely now I can't let go of this dream can't believe that I feel
Good enough I feel good enough its been such a long time coming, but I feel good
and I'm still waiting for the rain to fall pour real life down on me cause I can't hold on to anything this good enough am I good enough for you to love me too?
so take care what you ask of me cause I can't say no

going back to the corner, where i first saw you gonna camp in my sleeping bag, I'm not gonna move got some words on cardboard got your picture in my head saying: if you see this girl can you tell her were i am some try to hand me money but they don't understand I'm not broke I'm just a broken hearted man i no it makes no sense what else can i do and how can i move on when I'm still in love with you
cause if one day you wake up and find that your missing me and your heart starts to wonder were on this earth i could be thinking maybe you'd come back here to the place that we'd meet and you'd see me waiting for you on the corner of the street so I'm not moving I'm not moving
police man says son you cant stay here i say someone I'm waiting for if its a day a month or year got to stand my ground even if it rains or snows if she changes her mind this is the first place she will go
cause if one day you wake up and find that your missing me and your heart starts to wonder were on this earth i could be thinking maybe you'd come back here to the place that we'd meet and you'd see me waiting for you on the corner of the street so I'm not moving I'm not moving I'm not moving
people talk about the guy thats waiting in on a girl woooaa wooo and i no who's in his shoes put a big hole in his world ooooo maybe ill get famous for the man who cant be moved and maybe you wont mean to but you'll see me on the news and you'd come running to the corner cos you'll know its just for you I'm the man who cant be moved I'm the man who cant be moved
cause if one day you wake up and find that your missing me and your heart starts to wonder were on this earth i could be thinking maybe you'd come back here to the place that we'd meet and you'd see me waiting for you on the corner of the street so I'm not moving I'm not moving I'm not moving I'm not moving
going back to the corner were i first saw you gonna camp in my sleeping bag and I'm not gonna move
♥“Even though I’m the sacrifice you won’t try to find me, not now. Though I’d die to know you love me I’m all alone. Isn’t there someone missing me?”♥♥
She’ll sacrifice for him, and claim her naive prize In this endless story she personifies as a disguise The story portrays within her eyes, but her thoughts are left unspoken Emptying her past into a script, a reminder of what’s left her broken Her past seeks out for her as revenge, the feelings she refuse to inspire This old route she’s taken all the wrong turns, but she holds onto heart’s desires But desire loosens in her hands; she’s weary from holding on Constant re-plays of turmoil and pain, reminds her of failures when all she wanted was to be strong Striving to survive on her behalf behind the only emotions she can embrace Can she depend on fate, or was she just a mistake?
She’ll claim him as her prize, if she ever finds him in the end Only within his eyes she could survive; all insecurities were forbidden She was so free, yet still she feared Why was she brave? Or was she scared? She had to lock her feelings inside a tomb, throwing him in the center of it all And buried the key beneath his feet giving him the decision to make her emotions dissolve But inside she didn’t want to be alone, and he hesitated to escape Could she depend on fate, or was he just a mistake?
He didn’t seem to fight or struggle for his release She didn’t seem to let go, although she claimed it in defeat They both were aware that these feelings could bury both of them alive However, through her weakness, she knew at least he could survive
“And if I bleed, I’ll bleed knowing you don’t care. And if I sleep just to dream you I’ll wake without you there. Isn’t something missing?”
Slowly she dies. Taking on the arguments she rages in her head. Slowly she dies. Sorting out the visions embedded in her bed. Slowly she dies. Finding solutions to cover up her frowns. Slowly she dies. As the beatings in her chest throws her down. Why couldn’t he love her?
She’ll dedicate the sacrifices, knowing that she’s alone, to the memorial of the lies she held onto for so long. “Isn’t someone missing me?” No. She can’t fight him anymore, but as she closes her eyes to forever rest It’ll unlock the gates of the feelings she stored And let him walk freely out the door
♥“Please, Please forgive me, but I won’t be home again. Maybe someday you’ll look up, and very conscious you’ll say to no one…..Isn’t something missing?”♥♥

Stu Weber, in his new book, Four Pillars of a Man's Heart: Bringing Strength into Balance,(1) states that biblical masculinity rests on four pillars. The four pillars represent the four major facets of a man's life; these aspects of masculinity are: king, warrior, mentor, and friend. Weber believes that when all four "pillars" are balanced, peace and tranquility will prevail in our marriages, our families, our churches, and in the community and the nation. These institutions rest on the balanced pillars of biblical manhood, and they all collapse when the pillars lean out of balance. The major problems our society faces, for example, are the result of many men having one or more of their personal pillars out of balance--leaning one way or the other. For some men, the pillars have fallen down.
As we look at our society, it is clear that we are in trouble. Some of the pillars are leaning, and others have fallen down. It takes four sturdy, balanced pillars to hold up a building. "It takes four pillars to make a man. . . . who will bear the weight, stand against the elements, and hold one small civilization [a home] intact in a world that would like nothing better than to tear it down."(2) -Lou Whitworth
Beneath his eyes are blueprints of what he holds inside. His heart contains firm pillars, but is decked out in disguise. Beneath his hat he wears a crown, he rules and commands a nation. Beneath his breast he wears a plate, battling enemies of the state, and on his hands a written demonstration. Holding back tears he listens with his ears, and seals the stories he has written on his heart. Sealing it shut, he keeps the trust and locks it in the dark. He is a companion attached with affection, a companion, a personal regard. He is quick to console, and refurnish the old, whenever times seems so hard. He is a King, he is a Warrior, he is a Mentor, he is a Friend. He is a true husband, he is a lover, he is Monumental, he is the true meaning of Men. By: Brewster, Nefeteria *copyright 2009*
We're crying, we're fighting ,it's warfare ,we're dying Believing we're winning ,it's ending ,we're singing It's already done We've overcome...*Flyleaf* He remains unseen, our faith holds onto his existence by his blood we are washed, and live this life of innocence Living in the world makes us weak, holding onto his word gives us the chance to survive the insanity that devours this land Somehow they try to turn us away, they want proven facts, they want a show who are they to tempt, this precious lamb, when all the have to do is let go Releasing the unbelief, breathe in the spiritual grief indulge in his commands why do they forsake, and shake our faith why can't they understand?? They doubt you yet they want you Curious to pull you close But they let fear interfere they turn their backs and let you go He remains unseen, disguised in the clouds His wonders he plants throughout the land But the visions of the unjust turns the soil rotten his beautiful works, how his hands carved the earth, suddenly it's forgotten and yet he loves us, he continuously forgives but he can't tarry for too long he's preparing the way, for the righteously saved, and his judgment ten times strong But who can he claim if we forsake his name who will he come back for when the end is near There seems to be no end to the Christians who pretend that they pursue each word he prepared They doubt you yet they want you Curious to pull you close But they let fear interfere they turn their backs and let you go Now we walk alone in this belief we're everyone's new comedy So many jokes, so many puns No more respect for what you've done Welcome to Israel, Welcome to Rome They rest in sin, their brand new homes They doubt you yet they want you Curious to pull you close But they let fear interfere they turn their backs and let you go I am not perfect I am not proud I am a sinner A broken child I live with the unseemly I live among the unbelief I live among the saved I live among the weak I believe in the unseen I believe in his power I gain faith through the natural world To depend on his coming hour They doubt you yet they want you Curious to pull you close But they let fear interfere they turn their backs and let you go ...but let us believe in hope Brewster, Nefeteria *copyright 2009*
